I am a Romanian–EU citizen, 29years old, single. I have a Bachelor’s degree of English and Geography (a license as an EFL teacher), a Master’s degree and also other Certificates.
I have taught a variety of English level students and different age groups students including adults. I have been an examiner at the national Baccalaureate Exam 4 years in a raw. I have prepared students for the national content that focus on Cambridge First Certificate of English (FCE).I have also worked as a teacher of World Geography for one year, introducing them to new aspects of geography. Besides these I have a good knowledge of computer skills and will try to use that in the classroom.
Moreover I have done also some extra-curricular activities and projects done with students from abroad: the UK, USA, Egypt and Portugal, Spain, Israel. Advised the new EFL teachers and helped them when in need. This year I’ve done a movie with the students for an antidrug campaign which can be seem here among others things I’ve done the year’s before: http://www.youtube.com/my_videos
I also participated in organizing trips with the students in cities around Transylvania.
Every year I get a class of students and have to monitor them and what they do in school at all subjects plus all kinds of secretarial paper work and work with parents
Being a teacher and doing lots of paper work and having assigned one class of 20 students to care for each year involves a lot of administration duties and organizational skills.. Every month besides my lesson plans I have to write papers regarding their work and absences and send them to the secretary and their homes and then gather their commuting papers and take them to the accountant and do psychology related activities, lots of reports and assessments. I am used to an organized and planned work, talking to people and answering their needs.
I encourage students/people to think laterally where they are forced to overcome an information gap, drawing/reflecting on past experiences and then applying them in real world situations. Managing the difference of abilities among my students proved a difficult, but satisfying, challenge.
Also my living and experiencing other cultures (Hungary,Greece,Egypt,USA,France,Slovenia,Italy,Austria) and not only this but also my studying in university and high school with native speakers of English have greatly benefited me. Moreover my knowledge of other languages, geographical and psychology can be an asset.
Beside English I also have medium knowledge of Spanish, conversational, reading and writing, I also know some basic and German, I understand some Italian, plus my mother tongue Romanian.
Because I have been living in a house, in a small town of Transylvania, I'm used to taking care of my house and my garden, cooking , cleaning and gardening. I'm very determined and trustful and I always like to finish what I start. |
